Overview
Tropic sends automated renewal reminders to contract owners 60-90 days before a contract's end date. If you choose not to renew a contract, marking it as Not Renewing / Not Renewed helps maintain accurate records and ensures clarity for procurement and reporting.
Contracts marked as Not Renewed will retain the following statuses:
- Active - In Effect if within their effective period.
- Active - Future if their effective period has not started.
Upon reaching the end date, these contracts will automatically transition to an Inactive status. This guide explains how to mark a contract as Not Renewed and what happens afterward.
Mark a Contract as Not Renewed
Note: To change a contract’s stage, you must be the contract owner or have the owner user role.
If you're the contract owner, locate the contract under Contracts in the Tropic Platform or Your Contracts in your Purchasing Portal
- Select the contract and click Edit
- In Stage dropdown, select Not Renewing/Not Renewed.
- Select an End Date
- Click Save.
The contract will retain its Active status until the end date. On that date, it will automatically transition to Inactive.
