Overview
Editing contract records in Tropic allows you to keep your information up-to-date and accurate. Whether you need to adjust contract details, update specific fields, or make changes to multiple contracts at once, Tropic provides tools to streamline the process. This guide explains how to edit contract details effectively, whether for individual contracts or in bulk.
Editing Contract Details
You can edit a contract record to fix errors or update information as needed. If a contract upgrade involves adding SKUs or increasing spend, ensure that the amendment is attached to the contract record and that the contract description reflects the update (e.g., "w/ amendment"). If the add-on has a different renewal date, consider whether a separate contract record is needed.
In-Line Editing on the Contracts Page
- Certain contract fields can be edited directly in-line from the Contracts page, even for multiple contracts (up to 25 at a time).
- Fields that impact other data points or contain calculated values may require you to access the individual contract record. Tooltips in the Contracts view will indicate when this is the case.
For more details about bulk editing, see Bulk Edit Contracts.
Important:
Editing a contract record in Tropic does not modify any legal agreements with your supplier. To make legal changes, contact your supplier directly.
