As a user, if you have been assigned a specific task and either decide to delegate it to someone else or believe that the task should not have been assigned to you, you have the ability to reassign it to a different individual.
Tasks may also be reassigned for various reasons, such as the need to delegate due to department or organizational changes. This action, available to Owners, Platform Members, and Department Admins, promotes flexibility and adaptability within the team, facilitating efficient task allocation and response to changing circumstances.
For details about roles, please refer to the Roles and Permissions document.

- Select Change Assignment and select a New Assignee.
- Click Save.
Note: The new teammate you select will see their task on their Dashboard, and will also be notified depending on the settings selected.
Remember: Owners, platform members, and department admins can also reassign tasks for other users if needed.
Changing the Task Assignee in the Workflow
- Navigate to Settings and choose either General Workflow or Purchase Workflows, depending on your workflow type.
- Select the workflow, then click the ellipsis next to it, and choose Edit Workflow.
- Double-click on the task you want to edit or click Editing Task.
- In the task form, under Due Date & Assignment, you can:
- Change the Assignee by selecting a new person.
- Adjust the Assignee Type if needed to help find the correct individual.
Bulk Reassign Tasks
For situations like an out-of-office status or user deactivation, tasks can automatically be reassigned:

- Reassign all of your tasks during user deactivation to another team member or department admin.
