Editing the initiation form in an Ironclad Workflow allows you to tailor the information collected during the initiation process. Follow these steps to create new questions or update existing ones to meet your workflow needs.
Steps to Customize Your Initiation Form
Access the Workflow Designer

- Navigate to Workflow Designer. (Note: You may need permission to access this section.)

- In the Published section, choose the Ironclad Workflow you want to update.
Edit or Add Questions

To Add a New Question:
- Click Create and select Add question to form.

- Use the scroll menu to determine the Question Type.

To Edit an Existing Question:
- Click on the question you want to modify within the form.
- Update the Question Type if necessary.

Update or Create Field Types

- Click Field to create or update the field type for the question.

- For Existing Questions: Click Open Tag Selector to edit the associated tags.

For New Questions:
- Click Add New Field.
- Assign a unique name to your field type.
- Note: If two questions share the same field type, Ironclad will only display the question that appears furthest down the form.
- Select a Field Type that matches your Question Type.
Add Question Details

- Type your question into the Question field. Avoid using the description field for this purpose.
- Specify when the question should be displayed and whether it is required.
Save and Publish

- Click Save to save your changes as a draft.
- Important: To apply the changes and see the new or updated question when initiating a workflow, click Publish.
- Provide a reason for the update and confirm by clicking Publish again.
