Overview
This article is intended for users who log in to the Tropic platform with a username and password. If you primarily access the Purchasing Portal, note that password reset functionality is not applicable since you access the portal using only your work email address.
If you forget your Tropic platform password, you can reset it from the Tropic login page.
Important Notes:
You can reset your password only if:
- You've accepted your Tropic invite and verified your email address.
- You haven't previously logged in using Sign in with Google.
- Your organization does not use Single Sign-On (SSO) for Tropic.
If you don’t meet these criteria, you won’t receive a password reset email.
How to Reset Your Password
- Go to the Tropic platform login page: https://app.tropicapp.io/login.
- Enter your Email address.
- Click Continue to reach the Enter Your Password page.
- Click Forgot Password?
- Follow the prompts and click Continue.
Tropic will send you an email containing a password reset link.
Important Note on Login Sessions
Your login session lasts 15 days, after which you will be logged out automatically. This applies to all login methods, including:
- Username and password
- Google OAuth
- SSO providers (e.g., Okta)
This helps enhance platform security and ensures accurate login tracking.
Troubleshooting Steps

Ensure Your Tropic User Account is Active
You must have accepted your invite and verified your email address. If not, activate your user account at: https://app.tropicapp.io/activate. -
Confirm You Don't Log in Using Google
If you previously used Sign in with Google, you won’t have a Tropic password to reset. Continue logging in via Google. -
Confirm SSO Isn’t Used by Your Organization
If your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO), password resets are not applicable. Use your SSO provider to log in instead. -
Check Your Spam or Junk Folder
Sometimes, password reset emails are filtered into spam or junk folders. Ensure your organization allows emails from tropicapp.io.
